XCAS in RPN?

Message par supergems » sam. janv. 23, 2010 8:52 am

Hello everyone, how do I set XCAS in RPN mode on Windows XP?
On http://www-fourier.ujf-grenoble.fr/~par ... nvironment
is written: "If XCAS_RPN is defined, then XCAS will start in RPN mode." But I don't know how do!
I know how you set an environment variable on both Unix and Windows. I have tried these values:

XCAS_RPN=1
XCAS_RPN=ON
XCAS_RPN=TRUE

and no one seems to work!

Best regards,
supergems.

Oops, this feature was present in very early version of Xcas (5 years ago), but not kept for the "new interface" (since nobody was using it) and some docs were not updated. It is still available in the Giac computing kernel but it would require a distinct interface (by the way, you are welcome if you want to write such an interface).

What a pity! I love the RPN and the HP 50g calculator ;-) . Perhaps in future I will write a RPN interface for Giac...

Good work and best regards,
