Interactive books

I typically post notes (in pdf) on the web for some of my classes. For one of my classes this fall, Matrix Algebra, I'm going to try to get all of my notes online, with any luck before the semester starts. (I also intend to put an section in each chapter telling how to do the computations with Xcas.) It is suprisingly simple to use LaTeX and Hevea to include giac commands in a web page, so I'm toying with the idea of doing that for my notes. However, I haven't been able to think of a way of using this that would be better than simply telling the students to try some computations in Xcas.
Is anybody making any interactive notes, or does anybody have any good ideas of what to do?
