Hello,
http://www-fourier.ujf-grenoble.fr/~par ... n#packages says that it has been tried for a long time to get giac/xcas into Debian.
Is there a Debian web page that publicly tracked these efforts? I would like to "read the history" to learn about the remaining problems.
Has it been tried to include both giac and xcas at once? Maybe it would be easier to get a package accepted that just contains giac?
This sage-devel thread describes why I am interested.
Debian package

Re: Debian package
I don't think it's for a technical reason, it's just that nobody who is in position to include it in debian cared (it seems this is changing for Fedora).
