FR 5/5/25: version 2.0.0 publiée, principale nouveauté est la version navigateur complète de Xcas qui est maintenant suffisamment stable (à mon avis)
EN 25/5/5: version 2.0.0 published, the browser full version of Xcas is now stable enough (I hope!).

Re: 2.0.0
Well, this is cool!
I'm installing the compiled version right now, and installed the web version with local files. It looks amazing and works great.
I noticed the instructions for using Xcas on a smartphone suggest opening the web version hosted at www-fourier.ujf-grenoble.fr. (It also mentions XcasPad, which is very nice, but uses an old version of xcas.)
I tried opening the local files on my smartphone (android) with Firefox, but android firefox won't open local files. (How annoying.) Does anybody know a workaround, or can it not be run locally on android?
Jay

Re: 2.0.0
I don't know how to open local HTML files with Firefox on android, I think it was possible some years ago. If someone knows how to do that, I'm also very interested!

Re: 2.0.0
by clicking on an HTML file android should ask what to open it with. If it already has an association you have to clear the default association to enable the chooser.
For Samsung:

Re: 2.0.0
From my own tests, if you "click" on a HTML file, Android can run it inside Chrome, "Internet" (Samsung browser), Edge, but not from Firefox. And this is done by creating a copy of the HTML file in a temporary folder, which means that the documentation files provided in fltkxcashtml.zip are not accessible, unlike on a PC. Therefore you can run a local copy of xcas.html on Android, but it's less comfortable than the online web version. I have no idea why Firefox has dropped support for file:///... URLs on Android, I suspect this is related to a change in Android itself, because file:///sdcard does not work inside Chrome, and there must be some reason to make a copy of xcas.html in a temporary folder before opening it.
